Gerard de Serval is a lieutenant in the French Air Force. Many people underestimate him because of his somewhat shy attitude and lack of initiative. In addition, he can easily be frightened and combat horrified him, although may take courage and commit some heroic folly. However, he didn't become lieutenant for this, but for his ability in the air and his ingenious strategies to infiltrate through enemy lines.
Gérard handles pretty good German, as he lived in Germany for some time, before joining the French army. He doesn't speak English very well, but knows how to be understood.
He is determined to prove he's a soldier as valid as any other, or even more.

Gérard de Serval es teniente de las Fuerzas Aéreas francesas. Muchos lo subestiman por su carácter algo tímido y su poca iniciativa. Además, suele asustarse fácilmente y le horroriza entrar en combate, aunque en ocasiones puede armarse de valor y cometer alguna locura heroica. Sin embargo, no ha llegado a teniente por esto, sino por su habilidad en el aire y sus ingeniosas estrategias para infiltrarse entre las líneas enemigas.
Gérard maneja bastante bien el alemán, ya que vivió en Alemania durante algún tiempo, antes de alistarse en el ejército francés. No habla muy bien el inglés, pero sabe cómo hacerse entender.
Está decidido a demostrar que es un soldado tan válido como cualquier otro, o incluso más.
